Magento Backup Reference

Install the connector on the right store, then approve Magento access.

Use this backup reference if you need the Magento steps in another tab. For a first-time Magento setup, install the connector on the store first, then enter the storefront URL in Fortuna and let Magento finish the connection.

Step 1

Install the connector

For a new Magento connection, the Fortuna Connector must be installed on the live store before Fortuna can connect to it. If someone else manages Magento for you, send them the zip and wait for confirmation before you continue.

  • Use the live store, not a staging copy.
  • Do not install it on one store and connect a different one.
Step 2

Enter the store’s public URL in Fortuna and click Connect store

In Fortuna Setup, enter the storefront URL customers use and click Connect store. Fortuna checks the connector first, then sends you into Magento.

  • Use the storefront URL, such as https://store.example.com.
  • Do not enter the Magento admin login URL.
Step 3

Connect Magento and approve in Magento Admin

If you are not already signed in, Magento sends you to Admin login first. After login, the Fortuna Connector page finishes the approval flow in the same tab.

  • If you are already signed in, Magento may skip the login screen.
  • Stay on the Fortuna Connector page until Magento continues automatically.
If the page does not continue, stay on that page. Select Continue connection once.
Step 4

Let Magento send you back to Fortuna

After approval, Magento finishes the handoff and sends you back to Fortuna automatically.

  • Wait for the return page before you close the tab.
  • If Fortuna still shows pending, refresh once after a moment.
Troubleshooting

Common failure points

  • Fortuna says the connector is missing: it is not installed on that store yet, or it was installed on a different environment.
  • Fortuna says the connector timed out: the store responded too slowly or the connector is not live yet.
  • Magento login works but approval does not continue: stay on the Fortuna Connector page, then select Continue connection once.
  • The wrong store connects: the connector was installed on one store but a different storefront URL was entered in Fortuna.
