Install the plugin Use the exact Fortuna plugin zip on the same WooCommerce store you started from.
Connect in WordPress Open the plugin in WordPress and click Connect with Fortuna on that same WooCommerce store.
Wait for the first sync Keep the handoff tab open and let Fortuna mark the store connected after the first sync finishes.
Normal Woo path: plugin first, no manual API token form. The store URL and API token form is only the fallback/manual path. The main Woo experience is plugin install, then one-click connect from WordPress.
Step 1

Install the Fortuna plugin on the same WooCommerce store

Use the Install Woo Plugin action in Fortuna, then upload and activate that exact zip in WordPress on the same WooCommerce store.

  • Stay on the same merchant and the same WordPress store for the whole flow.
  • Do not switch to a staging or unrelated WordPress host in the middle of setup.
  • If the live route changes to WordPress.org later, the Woo panel in Fortuna will switch its primary CTA there automatically.
Step 2

Click Connect with Fortuna in WordPress

Use the one-click button inside the plugin on that same WooCommerce store. WordPress starts the handoff immediately from that click.

  • Do not close the original WordPress tab after the click.
  • If the browser blocks the handoff tab, allow the tab once and retry the same button.
Step 3

Let the handoff finish

The handoff tab is part of the normal Woo flow. Keep it open and let Fortuna complete the connection instead of restarting checkout or reopening the guide.

  • You do not need a separate onboarding-link step for the normal Woo path.
  • The connection should continue automatically after the WordPress click.
Step 4

Let Fortuna Setup finish the first sync

Fortuna updates the setup state after the first sync finishes. Use the billing and support buttons above if you need help while that sync is completing.

If the browser blocks the handoff, do not restart checkout. Go back to Fortuna Setup and retry from the current step, or use Get support above to email Fortuna with the store details.
